Nordic Business Report-December 6, 2006-Saab Training Systems wins combat training system contract in Slovenia (C)1994-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Swedish defence and aerospace group Saab said on Tuesday (5 December) that its unit Saab Training Systems has received a contract for an instrumented training system from the ministry of defence in Slovenia. The contract covers a mobile Combat Training Center and equipment for training in urban environments. "This contract strengthens our position as Europes leading supplier of advanced military training systems. We also expect that the cooperation with the professional Slovenian Armed Forces will provide vital input for further enhancements of the systems capabilities, performance and functions," said Johan Ohlson, CEO of Saab Training Systems. The value of the contract was not disclosed. Saab, headquartered in Linkoping in Sweden, is a high-tech company active within defence, aviation and space. The company has over 12,800 employees and annual sales of SEK19.31bn. Saab is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm. One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 13.49 Swedish kronor (SEK).
