SAS Flight Academy said on Wednesday (22 February) that it had entered into a five-year training agreement with the Latvian-based airline airBaltic. SAS Flight Academy would be the exclusive provider of all pilot and cabin crew training for airBaltic on the Boeing 737 and F50 aircraft types. airBaltic would perform its ground and cabin crew training at SAS Flight Academy's fourth training centre, currently under construction at Riga airport in Latvia. Until the training centre is completed the training would take place in a temporary facility located at Riga airport. The F50 training would remain in Stockholm, the company said.
