Rotational molder Promens, owned by Icelandic investment company Atorka Group, has decided to build a new green-field rotational molding plant in Poland, the company announced on Wednesday (27 September).
The construction of the plant will start in a few weeks' time and it will be in operation by the middle of next year. The plant will be built on 5.6 hectares (13.8 acres) of land in a new industrial park in Miedzyrzecz where Bonar Polska Sp. Z o.o., a Promens subsidiary, has been operating a rotational molding plant since 2001.
The initial size of the plant will be 9,900 square metres (106,500 square feet), but the site will accommodate a plant more than double that size. The new factory will increase the production capacity in Poland considerably, the company said.
It is being erected to meet the growing demand from the market for rotational molded products in both east and west Europe, a market in which Promens is an active player, Promens said.
