Finnish fibres and plastics producer Suominen Corporation said on Wednesday (31 May) that its Finnish plant in Kauhava, Suominen Flexible Packaging, would start personnel negotiations.
Changes in the market situation and tougher price competition have substantially reduced demand for bread packaging manufactured at the Kauhava plant, according to the company.
The negotiations relate to a possible termination of operations at Kauhava and transfer of production to other Flexible Packaging facilities.
The negotiations concern 45 persons, the company said.
