The Swedish technical consulting group SWECO said on Monday (18 September) that it has received an assignment to plan and design a new paper mill for Swedish company Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget (SCA) in Russia.

The assignment will be carried out by SWECO BLOCO.

The new mill is to be built in Tula, some 150 kilometres south of Moscow, and is expected to be completed in the spring of 2008. The mill will produce tissue.

SCA's total investment in the Tula mill is around SEK500m.

One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
