The Swedish software company Vitec i Umea AB (Vitec) said on Tuesday (10 October) that it has acquired a 12.8% stake in the business systems developer 3L System AB.

According to Lars Stenlund, managing director of Vitec, the purchase is primarily a financial investment.

"We have currently no plans to increase our ownership in 3L System further," Stenlund said.

Vitec paid SEK49 per share, or a total of SEK14.7m.

One Swedish krona (SEK) is worth approximately 0.07 British pounds (GBP).
