Swedish telecomms operator Vodafone Sverige AB (Vodafone Sweden) said on Monday (5 September) that it had launched an online backup service for mobile phones. Vodafone Sweden was collaborating with Storegate in offering Internet-based storage space for phone books, calendars and other digital information accessible directly by mobile phone. The service also simplifies the administration of contact details and calendars. To use the service mobile phones must support syncML, the company said.
