Reykjavik, 18 May 2006. Ágúst Gudmundsson has been appointed CEO of Bakkavör Group as of 26 May 2006 and Lýdur Gudmundsson, present CEO, will become non-executive Chairman of the Group. Lýdur will be moving his day-to-day focus to Exista ehf. as Executive Chairman, but will continue to play an active role in the strategic development of Bakkavör Group. Ágúst will lead the consolidated Group as CEO and Gareth Voyle, current CEO of Geest Ltd., has announced that he will be leaving the company at the end of May.
