The Swedish defence and aerospace group Saab said on Thursday (28 September) that its subsidiary Saab Aircraft Leasing has signed a long-term leasing agreement with the Australian regional airline Regional Express (Rex).
Under the agreement Rex is leasing 25 Saab 340Bplus aircraft as part of its fleet expansion and modernisation programme.
The aircraft will be introduced into service over the next three years.
No financial details were disclosed.
Saab Aircraft Leasing is headquartered in Washington DC in the US.
