Finnish telecomms group Elisa Corporation said on Tuesday (9 May) that the Finnish prosecutor is proposing that Elisa's subsidiary Saunalahti Group Oyj (formerly Jippii Group) be fined EUR800,000 for suspected securities market offences.
The alleged offences concern suspicions directed at Jippii Group with respect to the year 2001.
In addition to the fine Saunalahti would be required to pay a further unspecified forfeiture.
One euro (EUR) is worth approximately 0.69 British pounds (GBP).
