Nordic Business Report-November 14, 2006-Solstad Offshore ASA receives new long-term vessel contract from Saipem UK Ltd (C)1994-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Norwegian offshore vessels operator Solstad Offshore ASA said on Tuesday (14 November) that it has secured a new long-term contract for its offshore construction vessel Normand Cutter from Saipem UK Ltd. The Normand Cutter has been on charter to Saipem since May 2004. The new contract was signed for a minimum period of six years which can be extended by up to three additional years. The financial details of the contract were not disclosed. Solstad Offshore, based in Skudeneshavn in Norway, focuses on providing CSV and AHTS vessel operations for the offshore industry. It has a fleet of 35 vessels, and a further 12 vessels under construction. Solstad Offshore is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange under the ticker SOFF.
