Dieter Vranckx has been appointed Vice President Area Management Asia, Middle East & Africa succeeding Serge Tripet in this role. Vranckx assumes his new duties on July 1st, 2006.

Vranckx, who is a Belgian national, brings extensive experience in many areas of sales and marketing and of the air transport sector to his new position. He has held various management positions with Sabena, Swissair and SWISS, most recently as Head of Business Development and, since April 2004, Area Manager Asia Pacific for the SWISS passenger side. He therefore has direct experience of field management, and especially of the Asia Pacific area, which will surely play a crucial role in our development.

Dieter Vranckx has a broad view of the airline business as well as a track record of involvement in the type of strategic issues and opportunities which Swiss WorldCargo faces. He will bring fresh insights as well as a natural enthusiasm, and therefore great asset to the Swiss WorldCargo Management Team.

As Vice President Area Management Asia, Middle East & Africa, he will be charged with ensuring the business unit's further expansion and focused development.
