The Finnish Paper Workers' Union reportedly begun its two-day nationwide strike on Monday (15 May).

The Finnish forest products company UPM-Kymmene's Voikkaa mill and Stora Enso's Pankakoski unit are reportedly not affected by the strike.

The strike is a response to a UPM-Kymmene announcement on Friday (12 May) to cut 2,557 jobs in Finland and close several mills, reported the Finnish news agency.
