Munich, July 2, 2006 - The management and supervisory boards of Wacker Construction Equipment AG together with the additional selling shareholders and the underwriters Deutsche Bank AG, UBS Limited and Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. KGaA have determined to postpone the proposed IPO and to resume it at a later time.
In the course of the management roadshow the company received positive feedback from investors regarding the company and its growth prospects. However, due to current market conditions a valuation of the company that is adequate in the view of the company could not be realised at present.
