Nordic Business Report-December 14, 2006-Metso Paper invests in new production line in Finland (C)1994-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com Finnish engineering and technology group Metso Corporation (NYSE: MX) said on Thursday (14 December) that its subsidiary Metso Paper is expanding the production capacity of paper machine rolls and will build a new production line for big, wide castings in Jyvaskyla, Finland. The value of the investment is some EUR15m, the company said. The new production line will enable roll castings up to 12 meters in width. The investment will also shorten the lead times and improve occupational safety at the foundry. Metso, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, has 22,000 employees in more than 50 countries, and reported net sales of EUR4.2bn in 2005.
