Ronald Naar to lead Qurius recruitment expedition 18 January 2007 - To keep growing, Qurius needs lots of new IT specialists, from programmers to project managers. In Qurius' new recruiting campaign, top mountain climber Ronald Naar has taken on the role of expedition leader. "Teamwork comes first for us", says Qurius director Mark van Kemenade. "That's why we have asked Ronald Naar to challenge teams of job applicants to push for the summit. Literally. He will provide extra inspiration and take some of them on a four-day trip to the French Alps in the final selection round." The first round of the selection process takes place at indoor climbing centre Nieuwegein on Saturday 10 February. If they wish, applicants can take part in a 'climbing clinic'[1]. On 8 March the 25 best candidates leave for four days in the French alpine village of Pralognan. From the lofty heights of the Refuge du Roc de la Pêche (2,000 metres), they will climb a mountain under the watchful eye of Ronald Naar. "I appreciate enterprises that show ambition and dare to go off the beaten track to reach their goals. From climbing expeditions, I have experienced that selecting the right people lays the foundation for future achievements. By taking professionals on a climbing expedition, even if it's relatively easy, we'll create the conditions that will help Qurius to single out the best team players," Ronald Naar says. And he should know, having climbed over 500 summits including the infamous K2 and the Seven Summits, the highest peaks on all seven continents. This month his management book 'To the top - Expeditions to teambuilding, coaching and leadership' was published. Qurius N.V.
