The Danish wind turbines manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S said on Thursday (30 March) that it has won three large wind turbine orders in China.
Hong Kong Construction (Holdings) Limited, through its two subsidiaries Asia Wind Power (Mudanjiang) Co Ltd and Hong Kong Wind Power (Muling) Co Ltd, placed an order for 58 turbines for two wind farms to be located in Muling in the Heilongjiang province.
China Datang Corporation's subsidiary Gansu Datang Yumen Wind Power Co Ltd placed an order for 58 turbines for the Yumen Diwopu project, while the subsidiary Datang Chifeng Saihanba Wind Power Generation Co Ltd placed an order for 164 turbines for a wind power plant in Chifeng, in Inner Mongolia.
The orders cover the supply and commissioning of V52-850 kW turbines, as well as remote monitoring systems.
The values of the orders were not disclosed, but Vestas Wind Systems said that the orders would not affect its expectations for 2006.
